From its introduction in 1947, the Farmall Cub retained a distinctive shape and color. In 1964, IH made major design changes to the hood and grille. The Cub's colors were change from Red to Federal Yellow and White. It's name also changed from "McCormick Farmall Cub" to "International Cub". 1976 marked another change in the "Cub's" appearance. Long blue and black stripes along the sides of the hood replaced the short black and red stripes introduced in 1964. The stripes were to give the long time reliable "Cub" a contemporary look.
